If you are a seventh-grader, or are the parent of a seventh-grader, you are most likely about to begin researching options for high school. We offer seventh-grade girls several opportunities to learn more about what it's like to be a student at the Mount. We invite you to attend as many of these events as you like.
7th Grade Practice Test
The Pre-HSPT (high school placement test) is a seventh grade edition of the actual Scholarship/Entrance Exam given to eighth grade applicants. It is scored with seventh grade norms. The purpose of the test is for students to become acquainted with the test format and to gain insight into strengths and weaknesses.
The 2017 Practice Test date has passed. The next test will be offered in spring 2018.
Mornings at the Mount
7th grade parents are invited to attend a 'Morning at the Mount' in the spring. Join us to get an inside glimpse of the Mount. We begin with a welcome by our President, S. Kathleen Brabson, SSJ.
This experience will provide parents the opportunity to ask questions and hear from our Principal and current Mount parents. Chat with other prospective parents.
Upcoming dates for Mornings at the Mount are:
Thursday, April 27, 2017, 9-10 am
Tuesday, May 9, 2017, 9-10 am
7th Grade Half-Day Visits
The Mount invites seventh grade girls to experience life at the Mount by joining us for a half day morning visit in the spring. A parent may arrange a visit through the link below. Visits begin March 29th and continue through May 23rd.
Those students who score a 90% and above on the 7th Grade Practice Test and perform as well on the 8th grade Scholarship/Entrance Examination given in the fall, will be in a position to be offered ‘Early Admisson’ to the Mount. Those students who were unable to sit for the 7th Grade Practice Test, but score a 90% and above on the Scholarship/Entrance exam, are eligible for ‘Early Admission’ as well. To be considered for the program, students must complete all requisites of the admission process. Those applicants admitted as ‘Early Admission’ will receive a decision in advance of the usual notification date.
