Meet the College Counseling Staff
Mr. Brion Morro, Dean of College Counseling and Experiential Learning
Mount Saint Joseph Academy is thrilled to welcome Brion Morro as our Dean of College Counseling and Experiential Learning. Mr. Morro joins us from The Hudson School in Hoboken, New Jersey, where he served as Director of College Counseling and the Senior Capstone Program. He builds his counseling practice around knowing students as individuals rather than applicants, designing courses and programs that pair academic rigor with personal authenticity. It is an approach that is a natural fit for the Mount's mission of educating the whole person. A self-professed "girl dad," Mr. Morro's work with students has been shaped in part by a decade spent coaching varsity girls' basketball; an experience that speaks to his genuine investment in the success and growth of young women. His background also includes nearly two decades of admissions leadership roles across higher education, including institutions in the Catholic tradition such as Assumption University and Merrimack College.
Mr. Jonathan Fabrey, Associate Director of College Counseling
Mr. Fabrey has over a decade of college counseling experience, in addition to extensive expertise in program development and management, school counseling, and teaching. Mr. Fabrey’s grounding in school counseling and experience in supporting students’ searches with highly selective schools and service academies offers the excellence tempered with gentleness and compassion that we value most at the Mount. With one college freshman and one high school junior, Mr. Fabrey will offer insights, humor, and guidance to parents and students alike.
Ms. Teresa Sticco McGill, Assistant Director of College Counseling
Ms. Teresa Sticco McGill, our new Assistant Director of College Counseling, brings a wealth of experience to our community, particularly in partnering with student athletes. For the past ten years, she served as Director of College Counseling at Roman Catholic High School in the Philadelphia Archdiocese, where she guided hundreds of students through every stage of the college process. Her approach is rooted in holistic mentorship. Her breadth and depth of experience have helped students navigate academic decision-making, find the right college fit, and build thoughtful application strategies. A fellow high school parent as well, she has experienced this journey from many perspectives.
Mrs. Ellen Potter, Administrative Assistant/College Essay Editor
Ellen Potter holds a B.A. in English from Mount Holyoke College. Prior to joining the Mount Saint Joseph Academy Counseling Team in 2020, Ellen worked in academic book publishing at the University of Pennsylvania Press. Ellen also has experience working in student support at the Villanova University Writing Center, as well as the summer bridge program at Saint Joseph’s University.
