Science
The Science Department has deliberately shaped the science curriculum to complement the mathematics curriculum. Coursework builds sequentially from Concepts of Physics or Chemistry and then to Biology, emphasizing the ways in which the different disciplines depend on one another. Once students demonstrate a firm grasp on these fundamental areas of study, they have the opportunity to pursue whatever sparks their interest. Several upper-level elective courses-such was Principles of Engineering and Design, Criminalistics and Forensics, and Health & Medicine in the 21st Century - are offered which allow students to apply abstract principles to real-world problems.
