Summer at the Mount

Our athletics camps are run by MSJA's coaching staff and student-athletes. Campers will learn new techniques to help them excel in their sport or sports of choice, get a glimpse of what it is like to play at the high school level, and experience the benefits of being part of a Mount athletics team.

Girls entering grades 5-9 may register for Track & Field. All other sports camps are open to girls entering grades 6-9.

• GLEE Camp - WICKED: If you have a passion for performance, don’t miss this opportunity to meet new friends while learning what it takes to be a star! This year campers will explore the captivating tale of Elphaba, whose skin is green, and Glinda, who is blonde and beautiful, and the complicated evolution of their girlhood friendship and how they come to be known as Wicked Witch and the Good Witch. The week closes with a show on the last day of camp! Girls entering grades 5-9 may register.
   
• 2-D Art Camp: This weeklong art exploration is designed for the camper of any skill level who enjoys making beautiful things, or even just just trying something new. While there will be some introduction to techniques, the experience centers around creating original art, building confidence and having fun. Campers will experiment with painting, drawing, collage and other two-dimensional materials. Girls entering grades 6-9 may register.

   

• 3-D Art Camp: This camp is an introduction to hand-building ceramics techniques including pinch pots, coil building and working with slabs. Campers will create original, functional pieces while making new friends and getting messy. All pieces will be glaze fired for pick up after camp. Girls entering grades 6-9 may register.
   
• Culinary Camp: Calling all foodies! Join us for a fun culinary camp led by a professional chef! Campers will work alongside the Mount’s own Chef Jessica Borkosky to learn knife skills and life skills. In hands-on culinary classes and approachable and achievable (and delicious) recipes, campers will master knife skills, explore global cuisines, learn cooking techniques, and have fun! Chef Jessica will also cover nutrition, ingredient information, and food safety so that your camper comes home happy, healthy...and with lunch already in the bag! Girls entering grades 6-9 may register.
