Many nearby public school districts provide transportation to eligible Mount students.

School District Busing
Many public school districts near the Mount provide transportation to eligible students at no additional cost to families.
Eligibility, bus routes, stops, schedules, and registration requirements are determined by each student's home public school district. The Mount does not coordinate or determine school district bus routes or schedules.
Families should contact their home school district's transportation office directly to confirm eligibility and available service.
Good to know: School district transportation is arranged by the public school district, not by Mount Saint Joseph Academy.
Option 02
Private Busing
Mount Saint Joseph Academy partners with La Salle College High School to offer private bus service throughout the region.
Registration is for the full academic year. Families who select private transportation do not make a payment at registration; transportation fees are billed by the Business Office according to the family's tuition payment plan.
Route availability and individual stops may be adjusted based on enrollment, geography, ridership, and transportation needs.
One-way service: Families selecting one-way transportation must commit to either morning service or afternoon service for the academic year.
Which areas are served by private busing?
Private transportation is currently offered through the following route areas:
- Northeast Philadelphia — 2 routes
- Bucks County — 3 routes
- Northern Montgomery County — 1 route
- Chester County — 1 route
- Collegeville — 1 route
- Delaware County / Roxborough — 1 route
Routes and stops are reviewed annually and may be adjusted based on ridership and transportation needs.

- 6:15 AM — 6 Cavanaugh Court, West Chester — in front of SS. Simon & Jude Church

Option 03
SEPTA + Mount Shuttle
Students may use SEPTA to reach a centralized pickup location and complete their commute to campus on the Mount shuttle.
SEPTA Routes 94, L, and 77 serve the surrounding area. Route 94 travels from Oak Lane, Route L serves Chestnut Hill, and Route 77 serves Northeast Philadelphia and connects with Route 94.
Families should use SEPTA's current schedules and trip-planning tools when planning the public-transit portion of the commute.
Option 04
Student Parking
Limited on-campus parking may be available to eligible licensed upperclass students.
Parking is an upperclass student privilege and is not guaranteed. Because campus capacity is limited, eligible students should follow the annual registration process communicated by the Mount.
Students must have a valid driver's license before registering for a parking space. Families with more than one eligible student may register for one on-campus parking space.

Students are encouraged to carpool or use other available
transportation options when possible to help make transportation
more equitable, convenient, and environmentally responsible.
What should student drivers know about campus parking?
Students must park only in their assigned space and display the current school-year parking tag as directed by the school.
The front driveway belongs to the school, while the back driveway belongs to the Villa. The back driveway may not be used as an entrance or exit by Mount students or parents.
Students may not park at the Villa, in the back lot without permission, or in designated visitor spaces at the front of the building. Parking violations may result in the loss of parking privileges.

How do I know whether my school district provides transportation?
Transportation eligibility is determined by your home public school district. Contact the district's transportation office directly to confirm eligibility, routes, stops, and schedules.
What private bus routes are available?
Private transportation currently includes routes serving Northeast Philadelphia, Bucks County, Northern Montgomery County, Chester County, Collegeville, and Delaware County / Roxborough.
How much does private busing cost?
For the 2026–2027 school year, standard-route service is $3,050 round-trip or $2,100 one-way. Roxborough / Andorra service is $2,000 round-trip or $1,250 one-way.
Private transportation is an annual commitment. One-way riders select either morning or afternoon service.
Does the Mount offer a shuttle from SEPTA?
Yes. For 2026–2027, the Mount offers shuttle service from one centralized location at 51 Bethlehem Pike. Morning pickup is at 7:45 AM and the shuttle departs MSJA at 3:15 PM in the afternoon.
Annual shuttle service is $515 and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no late or activity shuttle.
How do SEPTA Student Fare Cards work?
SEPTA provides a K–12 Student Fare program for eligible students. Eligibility and distribution are determined through the student's school district or participating school program.
Is student parking guaranteed?
No. On-campus parking is limited and is not guaranteed. Eligibility and registration instructions are communicated to upperclass families each year.
