Admission Process

Complete a Mount Saint Joseph Academy Application.

Eighth grade girls may submit applications electronically on our website. The entire application must be completed, and payment received, in order for the application to be complete.

Request Materials Through Your Mount Admissions Portal

Submit the Transcript Release Authorization form to the principal or guidance counselor at your current school. By submitting the transcript release authorization, parents are giving permission for the release of attendance records, transcripts, and standardized test scores.

Submit the Evaluation and Recommendation request form to a current English or math teacher, guidance counselor, or principal of your most recent school. One recommendation is required. The evaluator will submit the confidential evaluation and recommendation directly to the Mount.

Attend the Mount saint Joseph academy Open House.

Open House will be held on Sunday, October 4, 2020 from 12:00 to 3:00. All interested families of fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth grade girls are welcome. During Open House, you can attend an information session and tour the school, talk to our athletic coaches and activity representatives, and meet administration, faculty, students, and MSJA alumnae.

Take the Scholarship/Entrance Examination (HSPT) at the Mount.

Applicants can register to select a date for the Scholarship/Entrance Exam. The exam will be offered on Saturday, October 17, with an alternate date of Sunday, October 18. Registration is available through the Admissions Portal.

Shadow a Mount Student for a Day.

Eighth grade girls who are in the process of applying to the Mount are encouraged to visit for a full day after the Scholarship/Entrance Exam. You may register for a visit through the application portal.
