SCHOOL DISTRICT BUSING

The following public school districts, which are within 10 miles of the Mount, do provide busing to the Mount free of charge:

  • Abington
  • Centennial
  • Cheltenham
  • Colonial
  • Hatboro-Horsham
  • Lower Merion
  • Lower Moreland
  • Methacton
  • Norristown
  • North Penn
  • Radnor
  • Springfield
  • Upper Dublin
  • Upper Merion
  • Upper Moreland
  • Wissahickon

Please check with your local district regarding the service provided. In the spring of each school year, the school districts contact MSJA for a list of students who will be enrolled for the following school year.

PRIVATE METZ BUSING

Mount Saint Joseph Academy, in joint effort with La Salle College High School, will provide the following private busing routes for the 2020-2021 school year:

  • 2 routes in Northeast Philadelphia
  • 3 routes through Bucks County
  • 1 Northern Montgomery County route
  • 1 Schwenksville/Collegeville route
  • 1 Delaware County/Roxborough route

The bus service is contracted independently and each family utilizing the service is charged an annual fee. Because each route is determined by current ridership, it is possible that individual bus stops may change from school year to school year.

Private Bus fees for the 2020-2021 school year will be $2,500 round trip and $1,750 one way.

Delaware County/Roxborough route for the 2020-2021 school year will be $1,600 round trip and $1,050 one way.

In the Schwenksville and Collegeville areas, there is a bus route for the 2020-2021 school year that will pick up starting in Schwenksville.

SEPTA TRANSPORTATION

SEPTA transportation is available via Routes "94", "L" and "77". Route "94" originates in Oak Lane, Route "L" originates in Chestnut Hill, and both stop at the intersection of Bethlehem Pike and Montgomery Avenue in Erdenheim. Route "77" originates in the Northeast and connects with Route "94" in Chestnut Hill. For detailed route/schedule information, contact SEPTA Customer Service at 215-580-7800, or at www.septa.com. Free SEPTA transportation passes for Philadelphia student residents are available at the Mount in the Student Affairs Office. Students may upgrade their bus passes to a rail pass for approximately $5 a week. Visit the SEPTA website for the most up-to-date bus and train schedules and information.

SEPTA TRAIN STATION/BUS STOP SHUTTLE

The Mount provides FREE, round trip van service to/from the Chestnut Hill East and Chestnut Hill West train stations for those students who ride SEPTA rails. Arrangements also can be made for student pick up/drop off at the Route 94 bus stop in front of the CVS on Bethlehem Pike and Montgomery Avenue in Erdenheim.
