With the dream of having a greater positive impact in the lives of the at-risk animals of our city, Maria and her four member team, utilizing the knowledge, experience and relationships cultivated over years of working in local animal welfare, started a grass-roots effort to address the needs of the homeless animals in our city. LIFE (Lifesaving Initiatives Funding Efforts) Foundation is a non-profit organization whose goal is to raise funds to offer additional resources for veterinary and behavioral needs of shelter animals, fostered or adopted animals as well as provide food, supplies and education for pet owners in the community in order to prevent surrender to the broken local shelter system.
