Enrichment Opportunities

Art Club

Art students, active members from the previous year, and those seriously interested in enriching the school community though visual art should join in September. Activities include workshops in lettering, jewelry making, and other art media that enhance what is offered in class. Club members will also enjoy mural painting, set designing for the fall musical and drama department, visits with contemporary Philadelphia artists, and field trips. Students meet once a month in the art studio.

Digital Photography Club

Students will explore digital photography, starting with the basics, such as camera resolution and how it affects a digital image. The club will use Adobe Photoshop to retouch old or damaged photographs, scanned negatives, slides, and objects. Students will discover ways to manipulate a photograph through the use of Photoshop filters to enhance an image. This club is open to all interested students who have a digital camera.

Weaving Club

Rooted in and propelled by the mission of the Sisters of Saint Joseph as lacemakers, we weave to serve the poor and destitute continuing a legacy that has lasted for more than 150 years.
