A Spark for STEM: Izzy Cooper ’25 Earns WPI FIRST Community Scholarship

The Mount is proud to announce that Isabella (Izzy) Cooper, a member of the Class of 2025, has been selected as one of just two recipients of the 2025 Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) FIRST Community Scholarship. This highly competitive, full-tuition scholarship is awarded annually to exemplary students who have demonstrated exceptional dedication and leadership within the global FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) robotics community.

Since 1996, WPI has offered this scholarship to honor students who embody its core values of Respect, Community, Inclusion, Innovation, and Achievement. Izzy was chosen from a global pool of applicants for her outstanding contributions to the FIRST program and her commitment to these values both on and off the field.

At the Mount, Izzy has been a devoted member of the Firebirds robotics team for four years, serving in a leadership role and inspiring her peers through her passion for STEM and her strong sense of teamwork. Her dedication, problem-solving skills, and consistent leadership have been central to the team’s success and growth.

This fall, Izzy will attend WPI to pursue a degree in engineering. Congratulations, Izzy, on this incredible honor! The Mount is proud of all you’ve accomplished and excited to see where your talents and passion will lead next.
