Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month: Esperanza Panel

As part of our series of events celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month, we hosted a panel discussion led by our student facilitator Isabella Cooper '25 featuring representatives from Esperanza. Esperanza primarily provides services for low-income immigrants, particularly focused on the Latino community in Philadelphia. The representatives spoke to the Mounties about their organization and work in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month. Thank you to our guest speakers Sister Mary Kay Flannery, SSJ, Wendoly Amparo, and Anu Thomas, the Executive Director of Esperanza Immigration Legal Services. The guests spoke of how their career paths brought them to Esperanza and shared their stories of why they were inspired to do this work.
