Congratulations Class of 2024!
Mount Saint Joseph Academy held its 165th Baccalaureate and Commencement Ceremonies at the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish to commemorate the achievements of the 112 graduates from the Class of 2024. 100% of the graduates received admission offers from post secondary institutions, including the University of Notre Dame, Georgetown University, Pennsylvania State University, United States Naval Academy, and many more. Among the class, five young women were recognized as National Merit Commended Scholars and 59 were members of the National Honors Society.
Caitlin Biddle ‘24, the class Valedictorian, delivered a powerful speech that embodied the spirit and sisterhood of the Mount. In her address, she emphasized “The Mount has given us everything we need to be the future leaders and founders of our society…like our founding sisters, we will shatter boundaries, overcome obstacles, and exceed expectations by proving ourselves as empowered, educated young women, whose voices will inspire unity and reconciliation in our global community.” Click HERE to view Caitlin Biddle's full Valedictory speech.
In addition to celebrating the accomplishments of the graduates. Mount Saint Joseph Academy, took a moment to recognize a member of the community with the Fournier Medal — named after Mother Saint John Fournier, who is renowned for her courage and commitment as one of the original founders of the Sisters of Saint Joseph congregation. Annually, this award is presented to an esteemed member of the MSJA community for their distinguished service to the Academy. Pamela Hunt Gwaltney, 1979 alumna and a dedicated member of the Mount’s Board of Directors, was honored for her exceptional contributions to the community.
Congratulations to these women and their continued success. Spes Messis In Semine!
