Going for Gold! Veronica Vacca '25 Secures Third Penn Relays Pole Vault Title

Veronica Vacca, a junior at the Mount, won the Penn Relays Pole Vault title for the third time with a height of 13-3 (4.04 meters). She accomplished this feat alongside two other athletes from Pennsylvania, making it a three-peat for the state on the same day.

In an interview with PennTrackXC, Veronica mentioned that she focused on consistency and aimed to succeed on her first attempts during the competition. She had a successful indoor season and was excited to compete outside at the Penn Relays in the beautiful weather. "I was excited to jump today. I love the energy here," Vacca added. "It was such a good vibe, and with good competition, too."

The Mount is excited to see Veronica compete again at next year's Penn Relays and attempt to win the title for the fourth time.
