Kelley Brisbon Hodge, Esq. '89 Honored by Abington Township and Girls, Inc.

Abington Township will honor Mount alumna Kelley Brisbon Hodge, Esq., '89 during an upcoming event celebrating the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The 34th annual memorial services takes place on January 21, 2019 at 12:00 pm at the Abington Senior High School Auditorium (900 Highland Avenue, Abington, PA). Kelley will be honored as the first African-American female District Attorney in Philadelphia County.

Kelley was also named a 2019 Strong, Smart, and Bold Honoree by Girls, Inc. A breakfast reception on May 8 at the Union League celebrates her and two fellow honorees.

Hon. Kelley B. Hodge is Of Counsel at the law firm of Elliott Greenleaf, P.C. in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania. Kelley rejoined Elliott Greenleaf after serving as the 25th District Attorney of Philadelphia, one of the largest prosecutor offices in the country. In 2017, Kelley was elected to serve as the District Attorney by the Board of Judges for the Court of Common Pleas for the First Judicial District. Upon her election, Kelley became the first African American woman to lead the District Attorney’s office in its 167-year history and the first African American woman to lead a District Attorney’s Office in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
