Maggie Mikalic '21 commits to Lehigh University

Senior Maggie Mikalic has verbally committed to swim for Lehigh University in the 2021-2022 season. She is a full-time swimmer for the Upper Dublin Aquatics Club. 

Last season, Maggie competed at the PA District 1 Girls Champs. She swam both the 200 free (13th place at 1:54.48) and 500 free (7th place at 5:03.86) and 2 relays. In her 200 free relay, she had a 24.45 freestyle time out of 50 and also had a split 52.41 for the 400 free relay. 

Maggie swam at the PA AAA State Champs, both in the 200 and 500 free. In the 200 free, she landed a spot in the B-final with a personal time of 1:53.17 in the prelims. In the finals, her time of 1:53.31 landed her in 14th place. Lastly, a timed final in the 500 free landed her in 10th, with a time of 5:01.69.

Maggie is a member of the National Honor Society here at the Mount and a member of the PA Math League. She also participates as a editor and sport writer on the school newspaper team. During her freshman year she was named Mount's Rookie of the Year for her swimming performances.
