Mount Basketball Are 2026 AACA Champions

The Mount basketball team claimed the AACA Championship with a 46–41 victory over Villa Maria Academy—the first title since 2016. The Mounties also captured the regular season AACA Championship. But this championship carried an extra layer of meaning, as it was played in the Mounties' longtime home at LaSalle College High School—the gym that has witnessed decades of championships, rivalries, and memories.

Perhaps equally memorable was the team's final game in the old gym. In a nail-biting matchup against rival Gwynedd, the Mounties pulled off a 63–56 victory. What made the evening extraordinary wasn't just the win, but the energy that filled the stands. Students packed the bleachers in unison, voices hoarse from cheering, singing together after the final buzzer. It was sisterhood in action—the kind you can't manufacture, but only witness when a community shows up for each other
