Mount Crew Makes History at Stotesbury, SRAA Regattas

At the Stotesbury Cup Regatta, every senior on the Mount crew team earned a gold medal -- a first in MSJA rowing history.

The entire team executed remarkable performances at the May 17-18 regatta. Results are:

• Varsity 8+: Gold
• 2V: Gold
• Lightweight 8+: Gold

Additionally, senior Gia Hunt was awarded the first Stotesbury Scholarship from the Catholic Philopatriot Literary Institute, given to a student-athlete rowing at Stotesbury for a Catholic school.

At the Scholastic Rowing Association (SRAA) Regatta in Dillion Lake, Ohio on May 24-25, the team also had great results. There were 156 schools competing in this national regatta.

• 2V: Silver
• JV8: Silver
