Purple & Gold Gala: What You Need to Know
Wondering what the Purple & Gold Gala actually is? Confused on how it differs from the Celebrauction? We've got the answers for you! Read on to find out more information about the Gala, the fundraising aspects and then buy your tickets!
How is the Purple & Gold Gala a fundraiser?
The Purple & Gold Gala is a fundraiser/friendraiser. It is a fundraiser in that the proceeds from ticket sales, and any sponsorships, will be used by the Mount for various student initiatives such as tuition assistance, clubs/sports, classroom improvements, etc. It is different from a Celebrauction type event in that, other than ticket purchases and optional sponsorships, there will be no other ask for money at the event (no auction items, raffles, etc.). A portion of the ticket price (and a sponsorship if you choose to do one) will be "fundraising," but you are not going to be asked for any additional money as part of the event.
Who is being honored?
The portion of the evening that will honor Jim Paul, Board Member Emeritus, will only be a brief program that will thank him for his years of service to the Mount and for his incredibly generous support over the years. The majority of the evening will be live music, dancing and dinner. So if you don't know Jim, that should not let that stop you from coming out to enjoy a fun-filled evening of "friend-raising" as the "program" portion will be brief.
It is really a great opportunity for everyone to gather and have a good time.
