Seniors Explore Italy

This Easter break, Mount Saint Joseph Academy seniors traveled through Rome, Florence, and Venice as part of the school’s commitment to global citizenship and experiential education.

The journey began in Rome, where students toured the Colosseum with a local guide, explored the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel, and engaged with Italian culture through hands-on experiences like traditional pizza-making.

In Florence, students immersed themselves in Renaissance art and architecture — viewing frescoes in the Basilica of St. Francis, standing before Michelangelo’s David, and exploring the iconic Duomo alongside centuries of artistic achievement.

The final stop was Venice, where students experienced the city’s unique history through gondola rides and tours of St. Mark’s Square and the Doge’s Palace.

These immersive educational experiences develop the cultural awareness, critical thinking, and global perspective our students need to become agents of transformation in an interconnected world
