Veronica Vacca '25 Sets Meet Record and Wins Gold at New Balance Nationals
We’re excited to kick off another year of celebrating the summer accomplishments of our Mounties with the return of the Mount Summer Story series. Each summer, this series shines a spotlight on the inspiring service work, study abroad experiences, athletic achievements, and professional opportunities pursued by our students, alumnae, and colleagues during the summer months.
As agents of transformation, members of the Mount community continue to challenge themselves, grow, and make a meaningful impact—well beyond the classroom and school year. Through this series, we’re proud to highlight the many ways Mounties are continuing to lead, serve, and inspire all summer long.
We begin this year’s series by recognizing an outstanding achievement from Veronica Vacca ’25. Competing at New Balance Nationals at the University of Pennsylvania’s Franklin Field, Veronica cleared 13-9 inches in the pole vault—setting a new meet record and earning the gold medal in her division.
This victory marks her eighth national title over the span of her high school career, a remarkable milestone that reflects her talent, discipline, and unwavering commitment to excellence.
Following her record-setting performance, Veronica left the field with a message that may be familiar to many in the Mount community:
“Be where your feet are.”
We are incredibly proud of Veronica and look forward to all she will continue to accomplish. Stay tuned as we continue to highlight more Mount Summer Stories in the weeks ahead. Want to share your story, reach out to us at communications@msjacad.org!
