Ms. Nicole "Nikki" West '87 - Executive Director of Mission and Inclusion

  • Ms. Nicole “Nikki” West '87, will serve as the first Executive Director of Mission and Inclusion at the Mount. Ms. West has served nineteen years as an educator in both the Wissahickon and Upper Dublin School Districts and fourteen years as an administrator in Wissahickon. In both experiences, equity, inclusion and belonging have been the centerpiece of her work, She serves on the Board of Trustees at Ancillae-Assumpta Academy as well as the Mount’s Board Committee for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary and Special Education from LaSalle University and a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from the University of Pennsylvania. Ms.West has a strong desire to further enhance the great academic, social, emotional, and personal growth of students at the Mount as they prepare to enter the world as global citizens. In addition, she will collaborate to support her colleagues who work daily with our students. Her work will capitalize on the ways that inclusivity initiatives, in light of the mission, will strengthen the school and the broader community.

Mrs. Jayne Borras - Director of Music and Choir

  • Mrs. Jayne Borras directed the middle school choirs at the Episcopal Academy. She also served as the music director for the middle school musical and the chapel music program. Currently, she also serves as the Director of Music and Organist at Central Baptist Church in Wayne. From 2013-2020, Mrs. Borras was the Director of Choral Music at Abington Friends School, overseeing six ensembles and teaching music theory. Other experience includes serving as the Assistant Conductor of the Haverford-Bryn Mawr College Chorale and as the Interim Music Director of the Lehigh Valley Chorale. Mrs. Borras earned her BA in Music from Duke University and a Masters in Sacred Music from Boston University. 

Mrs. Claire Clute - Executive Administrative Assistant to the President

  • Mrs. Claire Clute comes to The Mount after serving 19 years at Cabrini University, sponsored by the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, in various Executive Assistant positions. She has supported Marketing and Communications, Alumni Relations and External Affairs and most recently Executive Assistant to the President. When Mrs. Clute is not working she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, cheering on Philadelphia sports teams, baking, gardening and participating in benefit walks.

Mr. Michael Nevadomski - Theology Teacher

  • Mr. Michael Nevadomski has been teaching humanities in middle, high, and junior college settings since 2009. He holds a BA in English and Arabic Minor from Middlebury College. We look forward to the gifts he brings from teaching writing to interfaith dialogue. Mr. Nevadomski enjoys spending time with his family, woodworking, and cooking! 

Ms. Maria Cilio '12 - English Teacher and Co-Curricular Coordinator

  • Ms. Maria Cilio '12, is honored to return to the Mount as an English Teacher and Co-Curricular Coordinator. Ms. Cilio will support our English department and the Student Life Office. Ms. Cilio brings with her seven years of experience in language education and co-curricular design and management, as well as a passion for creating inclusive and enriching experiences for her students. Maria graduated from New York University’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Latin American Cultural Analysis and a minor in Spanish Language. Ms. Cilio earned a Masters in Secondary Education from Chestnut Hill College while teaching Spanish at Norwood Fontbonne Academy. At NFA, she re-designed the Spanish Language curriculum, founded the Girls Club, served on the scheduling committee, and directed the spring musical. We are grateful for the many talents that Ms. Cilio brings to the Mount, and know that her mission-oriented vision will be valuable to our future founders. Ms. Cilio looks forward to working alongside the wonderful MSJA faculty and staff in both the English classroom and the co-curricular space as she dedicates her skills to the mission and vision of Mount Saint Joseph Academy.

Mr. Owen Grzywinski - English Teacher

  • Mr. Owen Grzywinski will be joining the Mount community as an English teacher. He graduated from Temple University in 2019 and has since worked at the Science Leadership Academy teaching tenth and twelfth grades and at The DePaul Catholic School teaching grades six to eighth grade. It is Mr. Grzywinski's belief that everyone learns in different ways and that it is his job to foster what students are passionate about in order to help them become their best selves. Mr. Grzywinski loves music and he is classically trained in piano and cello. He has also been trained in Capoeira - a Brazilian martial art that incorporates dance, music and acrobatics, since he was eight years old. Congratulations to Mr. Grzywinski who just married last June!
