Seniors will come to the Nurse’s office first for your height and weight assessment then you will go to the guidance office testing room for your vision screening. Don’t forget to bring your eyeglasses or wear your contact lenses. Remember that classes are in session so please be mindful and respectful while in the hallways.

Guest Speaker Panel
On Thursday, October 6, there will be a guest speaker panel from Esperanza Immigration and Legal Services (EILS) during 2nd block. We will hear about how they serve the Dear Neighbor in Philadelphia, particularly regarding the Hispanic & Latinx community. All are welcome!

Heritage Dress Down Day
There will be a donation dress down day this Friday, October 7, in honor Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month. Suggested donation is $2-5 and will benefit EILS. Anyone interested in participating should dress to celebrate their heritage or in Mount gear!

On Wednesday, October 12, 2022, MSJA will administer the PSAT to Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors. Freshman practice test booklets may be downloaded by clicking on this link:

Sophomores and Juniors NOT Studying English This Semester: Prep sessions for the PSAT, to be administered on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, will be held during both lunches in Room 133 on both Wednesday, October 5, 2022, and Thursday, October 6, 2022. Please complete the English practice tests before Wednesday, October 5, 2022. Please arrive at the sessions as quickly as possible with your lunches and your completed practice test booklets.

All college visits, in-person and virtual, will be held in the Counseling Office for Juniors and Seniors. Please be sure to register in advance from your student Naviance account and bring the attached permission form signed, prior to the visit.

  • Wednesday, October 19: Digital College Board Testing with Compass Education Group (11th Grade Parents/Students), 6:30 PM

The College Board will be introducing digital SAT/PSAT testing beginning in 2023. To assist with this process and provide relevant information, Compass Education Group is offering a fall admission testing webinar for Philadelphia area independent schools geared toward 11th grade parents and students. Compass also just published an extensive piece about the digital P/SAT that you may want to peruse. Please use this link to register for the webinar.
