Alison Rainis
Chef-Manager, CulinArt Group
at Mount Saint Joseph Academy

Mount Saint Joseph Academy welcomes Chef Alison Rainis to the café. Originally from Essex County, New Jersey, Alison had visions of a career in the culinary arts from a very young age.

As a graduate of University of Delaware’s renowned Hospitality Management program, Alison was well-equipped to join the industry as a leading hospitality professional, but yearned for more. Alison decided to pursue her culinary degree at the prestigious Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. With her dual degrees, Alison brings unique talents to both the front and back of the house.

Throughout her career, she has had the privilege of working in five-star restaurants alongside many excellent chefs. She also served as Editor-in-Chief of two food publications, ‘Spoon University’ and ‘La Papillote’. She has taught culinary classes to future chefs, and is studying to become a wine sommelier.

Chef Alison is thrilled to join CulinArt Group at Mount Saint Joseph Academy. She cannot wait to meet and cook for students, faculty and parents. Be sure to come by the café and say hello!
